NCNW Valdosta-Lowndes Metro Section Installs 2026–2028 Leadership

VALDOSTA, Ga. — The National Council of Negro Women, Inc. (NCNW), Valdosta-Lowndes Metro Section, recently celebrated the installation of its 2026–2028 leadership team, marking the beginning of a new administration committed to service, advocacy, community impact, and organizational excellence.


Frankie Keeling was installed as the Section’s fifth president, succeeding Immediate Past President Attorney Karla Walker, who served from 2022–2026.

The 2026–2028 elected leadership team includes:

  • President: Frankie Keeling

  • 1st Vice President: Latoya Brown

  • 2nd Vice President: Nicole Mattis

  • 3rd Vice President: Dr. Amber Buchanan-Garvin

  • Recording Secretary: Robyn Anderson

  • Corresponding Secretary: Sheena Demps

  • Financial Secretary: Deborah White

  • Treasurer: Tonya Robinson Burgman


The Section also recognizes its appointed officers:

  • Parliamentarian: Katrina Royal

  • Chaplain: Elder Victoria Emanuel

  • Youth Liaison: Chimere Taylor

  • Historian: JosieLynn Watson


During the occasion, the Section honored Attorney Karla Walker for her leadership, distinguished service, and contributions during her 2022–2026 tenure. Her administration helped strengthen the organization’s programs, partnerships, visibility, and community engagement while advancing the mission of NCNW throughout Valdosta and Lowndes County.


Chartered on August 3, 2011, the NCNW Valdosta-Lowndes Metro Section has built a proud legacy of leadership and service in South Georgia. The Section’s presidential leadership history includes:

  • Sharah’ Denton, Founding Section President: 2011–2016

  • Tiffany Crowell-Frazier, 2nd President: 2016–2018

  • Dr. Jamie Foster-Hill, 3rd President: 2018–2022

  • Attorney Karla Walker, 4th President: 2022–2026

  • Frankie Keeling, 5th President: 2026–2028


From its founding to the present, each administration has contributed to the continued growth, visibility, and community impact of the Section while carrying forward the legacy and mission of NCNW.


Under the 2026–2028 presidential theme, “Educate. Empower. Elevate.”, the new administration will continue advancing the Section’s work in education, health equity, economic empowerment, social justice, youth and collegiate engagement, membership development, and community service.


The NCNW Valdosta-Lowndes Metro Section remains committed to creating meaningful opportunities for women, children, families, and communities while building upon the legacy established since its 2011 chartering.
